Edgerton Public Library will be CLOSED
from Monday, April 27th through Friday, May 1st
due to construction work on the building.
- Access to the parking lot from Albion Street will also be restricted.
- All programming for that week has been cancelled.
- Material due dates will be extended and holds will be kept an additional week for pickup
- 24/7 access to Libby/Kanopy and other digital items!
- Please refrain from using the outside book drop during that time as staff will not have access to the building to empty the drop.
The City of Edgerton recently received grant funding to insulate the attic of the library. This project will help seal up some drafts and reduce our carbon footprint by lowering the building’s heating and cooling strain. For the safety of our staff and patrons, the building must be closed while the new insulation is being installed.

In addition to the insulation, the library will also be having the roof and skylights replaced due to the hail storm some months back. Some of this work will occur during the closure, but there will still be some work to do before and after the period of closure. We ask for your patience while contractors move about the building and have equipment parked in the lot.

We are grateful to the City of Edgerton for the care they put into the upkeep of our library and for their continued support.

If you have questions regarding the closure, please contact Library Director Beth Krebs-Smith at 608-884-4511 or smith.beth@edgertonpubliclibrary.org.
